Los Angeles Angels Update

By Ryan Gaydos

Sean O’Sullivan yielded three runs over five innings in a no-decision against the Rockies on Tuesday night. O’Sullivan was shaky, walking three while throwing just 57 of 101 pitches for strikes. All told, he allowed six hits, including a pair of homers. Despite that, he struck out three and induced eight groundball outs. He also kept the game within reach, enough for Bobby Abreu to take him off the hook in the eighth inning and put the Angels in position to win the game. The 21-year-old right-hander shows enough promise for AL-only leagues.

Bobby Abreu plated two with a go-ahead RBI single as the Angels topped the red-hot Rockies on Tuesday night. Abreu’s two-run single in the eighth off Ubaldo Jimenez proved the difference, as the Angels defeated the Rockies 4-3. While Abreu is slugging just .405 with three homers, you won’t hear anybody complaining about the 15 steals and 37 RBI.
